Here are our thoughts;
1️⃣Facebook is STILL the most advanced advertising platform available, and you’re consumers are still spending a disproportional amount of time on it. The key to being a good marketer is understanding what the market is doing, not what the headlines are telling you. (At 2.07 billion, Facebook has more monthly active users than WhatsApp (500 million), Twitter (284 million) and Instagram (200 million)—combined (Source: CNBC).)
2️⃣The only constant you can expect with marketing is change. Your consumer’s attention is changing on a daily basis, and you should be changing with them. Every minute you spend complaining about the changes is a minute your competition is spending working to improve. Instead of complaining, start figuring out how to win. We are all given a level playing field, so if you want to win you must be adaptable.
3️⃣Use this as a wake-up call. If this news kept you up at night, you are vulnerable. You should not be dependant on one source of traffic. If you are, you’re building a business on quicksand. Start to diversify your traffic sources now.
